JEWISH TOWN - 3 to 4 HOURS
Jews and Czechs have been living here together for one thousand year! Inspiring each other, but not always living in harmony. As anywhere in Europe, even here Jews were attacked by their neighbours in the past… But the worst time came with World War II. Prague was very first occupied capital in Europe and Nazi had enough time to carry out their diabolic plans. But still, some Jews survived, and surprisingly all Jewish monuments were not damaged! Unless having walking problems, or if not being under the time pressure, I highly recommend to take in Prague walking tours only. Many highlights of Prague are accessible only for pedestrians anyway and we do have here in Prague very elaborate system of public transport.
